Isabel Judez Spanish / Venezuelan, b. 1992

I am a visual artist and spatial designer that, among different techniques, work with textile sculpture and installations.

Through geometric structures and handwoven layered compositions, I explore how the void holds figures, throughout tensions between textures, colors, space, lights and shadows.

An architect and visual artist based in Paris, originally from Venezuela and Spain, she explores ecological and social issues through sculptures and installations. In her artistic practice, she delves into concepts of identity and belonging, drawing connections to the architectural and social memory of specific regions. She seamlessly incorporates the language of geometric abstraction from her native land, melding it with components from both natural and urban landscapes. Her creative process involves employing modern digital tools, which she contrasts with materials rich in historical significance, including textiles and upcycling techniques.
